The City of Margate recently implemented enhancements to our Utility Billing Online Portal to improve the customer service experience. Should you encounter any issues, or if you would like to learn more about managing your account in this enhanced system, we also have a customer help manual available.

Pay Automatically Every Month with a Check or Credit Card

You can now make payments automatically each month using your credit card or bank account, with no transaction fee using our new Bill2Pay Payment Portal. There is no longer a separate form needed to enroll in our free bank drafting service, just visit the new Bill2Pay Payment Portal and sign up right from our convenient online system.

Make a One-Time Payment from a Checking Account or Other Payment Method

To make a one-time payment on your utility bill, visit https://margate.prod.bill2pay.com/ and click on ‘make a one-time payment’. Enter your account information, choose your preferred payment option between checking account, credit card and other methods, and then complete the transaction.

Pay Your Utility Bill by Phone - Available Now!

Call 954-543-4153 to pay your utility bill by phone using a Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover card, a debit card, or a check. This service is provided free of charge. You will need your Account Number to pay by phone.

Pay by Mail

Send your personal check, cashier's check or money order using your bill payment stub and envelope to the following addresses - Please include the full utility account number, including the dash, on the check if a payment stub is not included with the payment. (Mailing payments directly to the City delays the processing of payments and could result in disconnection of water service for non-payment).

Drop Off Payments

You are welcome to drop off your check at the below location. There is a drop box for your convenience 24/7. Payments received prior to 7:45 a.m. are processed the same business day.

Amscot - The Money Superstore

Cash payments are accepted at any Amscot location, 24 hours a day. An account number must be provided.

Walmart Money Center

Walmart now offers a quick and hassle-free method for paying your water bill. To complete your payment in person, you'll need your account number, the desired payment amount, and either cash, a debit card, or your UnitedHealthcare Ucard. Payments will be electronically transmitted to the City through CheckFreePay, and the payment will reflect on your water account within 2-3 business days.   A processing fee of $1.50 will be charged.

In-Person Payment

Walk-in payments at 901 N.W. 66th Avenue, Margate, FL 33063. Acceptable forms of payment are cash, check, Visa, MasterCard credit or debit card, or money order. Window hours are Monday thru Friday from 8am – 5:45pm.

Financial Institutions

Most financial institutions provide an option for online bill payment. Please be aware that most payments between a bank and the City are received within 2 to 3 business days electronically, certain financial institutions process mail payments that may take 5 to 10 business days to be received.
