The City of Margate began transitioning to an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) in July 2023. Advanced Metering Infrastructure is a composite technology composed of several elements including consumption meters, two-way communications through a cellular network and a data repository.  AMI will improve billing and enhance the tracking of usage.  AMI can also help alert a residence of a household leak before they become a costly problem.  The water/wastewater bill will generate in accordance with the normal billing schedule.
