Mark your calendars for the City of Margate’s 23rd Annual National Night Out, a night where neighbors come together to celebrate the partnership between law enforcement and residents in a fun, family-friendly, and relaxed environment. Enjoy live demonstrations, music, games, giveaways, and entertainment for the entire family.

What to Expect

Entertainment & Activities

 

Don’t miss out on:


  • Live music throughout the event
  • Carnival-style games & bounce houses
  • Rock-climbing wall fun
  • Walking performers including stilt walkers, a mime, juggler, and bubble artist
  • Face painting and more

There will also be several live public safety demonstrations from:


  • Margate K-9 Unit
  • Margate Fire Rescue
  • Special Response Team (SRT)
  • Other local public safety agencies

Food & Refreshments

 

Come hungry — we’ve got you covered! At this event, you will find:


  • 2,500 FREE hot dogs (first come, first served)
  • Free drinks including bottled water, soda, energy drinks

Meet the men and women working to keep our community safe, and explore their tools, equipment, and vehicles up close, from the following agencies:


  • Federal Bureau of Investigation
  • U.S. Secret Service
  • Drug Enforcement Administration
  • Florida Department of Law Enforcement
  • Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
  • U.S. Customs and Border Protection
  • Federal Air Marshals
  • All branches of the U.S. Military

Traffic and Parking Information

The entrance to the Margate Sports Complex will close promptly at 5 p.m. on Monday, August 4.

Main parking will be located at the Banks Road warehouses just north of the Sports Complex. Overflow parking will be available at Genesis Church, 1490 Banks Road. Message boards will be present to guide drivers and attendees.

Margate Police will assist with pedestrian crossings at the intersections of:

  • Northwest 17th Street & Banks Road
  • Northwest 15th Street & Banks Road
