Community Service Aides are civilian, non-sworn employees who are under the supervision of the Traffic Unit Supervisor. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Respond to calls of a non-violent nature
- Complete all necessary department reports for delayed crimes
- Supplement staffing for the Police Information Area window
- Issue parking tickets
- Issue traffic citations in conjunction with traffic crash investigation
- Attend court by subpoena and testify in court
- Performs related work as required
