CITY OF MARGATE, FLORIDA

PRE-DEVELOPMENT PUBLIC HEARING 

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program

FY 2018 Annual Action Plan

May 21, 2018

The City of Margate is an entitlement recipient of federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The City is also part of the Broward County’s Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) Consortium and anticipates receiving $71,529 in HOME funds* and $352,928 in CDBG funds during the 2018 program year to address community development and housing needs within the City. As mandated by Federal Regulations 24 CFR Part 91, in order to receive these funds, the City is required to develop and adopt an Annual One Year Action Plan that is consistent with its 2016-2020 Consolidated Plan priorities.

Prior to drafting the 2018 Annual Action Plan, the City will hold a public hearing in order to obtain citizens views in order to determine needs and local priorities for the use of the CDBG funding. This hearing will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 3p.m.in the City Commission Chambers at Margate City Hall, 5790 Margate Boulevard, Margate FL 33063. Interested parties are encouraged to attend and participate.
