[ARCHIVED] Margate 2.0 Community Visioning Meeting

Community Visioning Meeting

The Margate 2.0 Comprehensive Plan public input phase is moving to informal discussions designed to listen to Margate residents, business leaders and stakeholders.

Please plan to join us for any of the three, 2-hour sessions on Sept. 23rd and 24th where staff will sit, listen and converse with the Margate community.
____________________________

Vital segments of the community fabric that makes up Margate today was woven over the past 60+ years.  Major development choices and resulting policy decisions have already been made.  These include roadway alignments, delineation of major land use categories and locations, water resources, sewer treatment capacities and related key development features.  This does not mean; however, that our work is finished in planning for Margate’s future.

Change is a constant and its requirements will continue to influence Margate and its residents.  More people, more traffic and the related demands for services, goods and lifestyle experiences all require that we set the plans in motion now to accommodate the future.

The next phase of the Community Engagement and Outreach Plan efforts for the Future Land Use Map will shift now from formal presentations and Visual Preference Surveys to informal discussions designed to listen to Margate residents, business leaders and stakeholders on how they go about their days in Margate, what’s working, and what needs to change to make things better.
