[ARCHIVED] Margate 2.0 Neighborhood Community Meeting on May 30th

Margate Comprehensive Plan Logo

What is a Comprehensive Plan?
Margate’s Development Services Department has begun the important task of updating the City’s Comprehensive Plan. This update is required every seven years by Florida Statute to keep Margate’s Plan consistent with the requirements of the Florida Community Planning Act. The Comprehensive Plan typically is a 10-20 year forward look at how the City will address future critical land use issues. The Plan must provide the principles, guidelines, standards, and strategies that the City will utilize to guide the orderly and balanced future economic, social, physical, environmental and fiscal developments; all while reflecting Margate’s commitment to implement the Plan and its elements.

Public Involvement and Engagement
It is vital that this update includes as much public involvement and participation as possible within the study completion timeframe.
