Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program
FY 2019 Annual Action Plan
May 14, 2019

The City of Margate is an entitlement recipient of federal funds the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The City is also part of the Broward County Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) Consortium, and anticipates receiving *$346,880 in CDBG funds and *$71,529 in HOME funds during the 2019 program year to address community development and housing needs within the City.  As mandated by Federal Regulations 24 CFR Part 91, in order to receive these funds, the City is required to develop and adopt an Annual One Year Action Plan that is consistent with its 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan priorities.

Prior to drafting the 2019 Annual Action Plan, the City will hold a public hearing in order to obtain citizens’ views in order to determine needs and local priorities for the use of CDBG funding. This hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 4-6pm in the City Commission Chambers at Margate City Hall, 5790 Margate Boulevard, Margate, Florida, 33063.  Interested parties are encouraged to attend and participate.  For additional information on this hearing, please contact Yvette Lopez, Manager, (954) 357-4930 or or Patrick Haggerty, Program/Project Coordinator, (954) 357-4938 or, Broward County Housing Finance and Community Redevelopment Division.
