Military Banner Program

Military Banner Program imageMargate is home to countless active military personnel and veterans, and the City would like to recognize these unsung heroes for their sacrifice and service to our Country.

The City’s Military Tribute Banner Program was created for the community to publicly honor and recognize active duty military personnel and veterans who reside or have an immediate family member that resides in the City of Margate. City of Margate employees may also participate.

To participate in the program:

1. Complete the application
Include a copy of the applicant’s driver’s license or current utility bill showing the Margate address of the military service person or his/her family member.

2. Include a photo
Please include a minimum 5”x7” portrait style photograph of the service person in his/her military uniform for display on the banner. By signing the banner application, you acknowledge that you have permission to use the photo being given to the City to use on the banner. Digital photographs (preferred) with a resolution of 300 dpi or higher will also be accepted and can be emailed to: pio@margatefl.com.

Cost of the banner: $100.00

Order Placement & Deadlines
Banners will be processed in large groups (no less than 10 banners per order). Once the application is approved and the minimum order amount has been met, the estimated time for processing, layout and design, production and installation is approximately 10 weeks.

  • Air Force
  • Army
  • Coast Guard 
  • National Guard - Active Reserves
  • Navy
  • Marines
  • Merchant Marines

Disclaimer: Quantity is limited to one (1) banner per service person and will be displayed for a one (1) year period. Active duty status and program eligibility will be verified. The spelling of the name will be taken directly from this application. Installation location and removal of the banners are at the City’s discretion. City is not responsible for lost/stolen banners, or repairs to the banners should they be damaged, aside from normal warranty work.
