Egg Hunt - March 24th

Springtime Egg Hunt

Spring is in the air, and for the City of Margate, that means the annual Springtime Egg Hunt is near. Thousands of eggs are being filled with fun prizes or delicious candy for children to enjoy.

On Saturday, March 24th, children eight years old and younger are invited to the City of Margate’s Springtime Egg Hunt. The festivities begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Margate Sports Complex, 1695 Banks Road. Arrive early!

Nearly 9,000 brightly colored plastic eggs - each containing a treat will be scattered on three baseball fields. Children will be separated by age group for the egg hunt as follows:

Field #1:          Ages 2 & Under
Field #2:          Ages 3-5
Field #3:          Ages 6-8

JUST ADDED: The Parks and Recreation Department has added an area for Individuals with special needs - with no age limit. Please meet at Pavilion #3 prior to the start of the event. 

Parents and/or guardians are required to remain and assist all participants during the event.

Some eggs will also contain a ticket redeemable for a special prize. Peter Rabbit will make a special guest appearance for family photographs.  Please remember to bring your baskets and a camera.
